Stella’s is a restaurant rich in tradition and history. Stella’s has been a family run burger joint for over 70 years. When we arrived during lunchtime the restaurant was packed with people inside the restaurant as well as on the new outdoor patio . The restaurant was filled with people from all around town, Offutt airmen were coming and going, and regulars were enjoying their lunches. The name, "Stella's," was originated from the name of the founder, Estelle Francois Sullivan Tobler, Bellevue's first tavern owner and the creator of the famous Stella Hamburger.
They are known for their "World Famous" cheeseburgers and the down-to-earth friendliness that continues to set Stella's apart from a state full of burger joints. The burgers were fantastic and came served on paper napkins, Stella's philosophy is,"Food doesn’t have to be fancy to be good.” The menu is very simple, yet offers world famous Stella burgers, fried egg sandwiches, patty melts, fresh cut Stella fries and onion rings, and even fried ice cream.
